Pagan Poetry, Dreams and Love

Dreams ride swiftly through the night
Sense direction, instincts right
Glimpsing sweetness just in sight
In my mind they wind around
Telling much without a sound
Stronger wider touching deep
Whisper round the edge of sleep
They meander through the drifts of time
Thoughts born to me, from me, of mine
Tell tales of sleepless, restless longing
Seek other part of self belonging
I place them in a crystal jar
Each one labelled with a star
Beckoning mine beyond the still
Destiny sweetly always will
At night I lay my head to sleep
Each secret dream I get to keep
Winding lightly round my soul
Mending broken making whole
Love
Thoughts tip tapping busily about my mind
Brightly hoping inspiration to find.
So I kneel to ask a delicate elf
She says,' it’s a feeling beyond regard for self.'
Next, in a jar of wisdom I take a peek
It says,' love is a lesson taught by the meek.'
Now I know that this implies no lack,
It means love cannot ever harm or attack.
So I question the lining of a drifting cloud
And the answer is whispered not very loud,
'Love is the infinite possible feat,
Because it requires giving without a receipt

I want to learn something about the Shaman. You really seem very interesting. :-) Thanks for the poem. Love is definitely the infinite possible feat, and can never be wholesome and complete, the more you love, the more it expands. The chap I hope will teach me Shamanism used to study social anthropology. He discovered that all humans used to live Shamanically, in that they had a oneness, respect and ability to communicate with all other living things and lived completely in tune with the seasons. There was no fighting and no male domination until this way of being became lost to humanity Yet the ability to' journey' to gain insight/guidance seems to still be hard wired into the human brain, we can all do a basic journey. It is the most ancient form of healing, it pre dates everything and it is said the Shaman is one who can 'see in the dark'.
A course and teacher are great, but it is quite safe to teach yourself to journey with the help of a tape and some Theta drumming music.Let me know if you want any links etc.
Many thanks for bothering to read and comment on my poetry. I guess I was writing about Agape.
Best wishes, CJ
